La Luna Linda Day Hunt ---- Deer Lease in Central Texas Hill Country

DEER HUNT: This day hunting lease for whitetail deer, leased to 2-4 hunters per day to hunt at least 2 days on their own without a guide, is in the central Texas Hill Country, Kerr County, one hour northwest of San Antonio and two hours southwest of Austin, just a few miles off I-10. We do all the preparation --- setting up and stocking deer feeders, maintaining the blinds etc. Hunters are welcome to enjoy the land and creek all day long --- even go fishing if you like.
Tract "D" is 37 acres of beautiful raw land, including a large field, a creek that runs through the middle of the property, and hilly, wooded terrain. It has 2 blinds and 2 feeders. It is leased to 2 hunters at a time, who must lease it together.
Tract "A" is about 15-20 acres of mostly open fields, with trees along the edges. There are 2 blinds and 2 feeders. Our creek runs along one side, and the hills are on the other side. The deer usually come down from the hills across the fields to the feeders and then to the creek. This tract is also leased to 2 hunters at a time, who must lease it together.
These hunts are unguided, so we need to show you the hunting areas before you start hunting. A liability waiver and hunting lease agreement need to be signed by all hunters before hunting. Full payment (except for kill fees) must be made before hunting. All of these things can be done the day before the hunt, or even months in advance, any time between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., by appointment. Please call us to arrange a time and then also call us again about an hour before you arrive.
We do not allow any camping, trailers or RVs, and we do NOT have any guesthouse available for rent. We suggest that hunters rent a motel room in Comfort (10 minutes) or in Kerrville (20 minutes).

DEER PRICE: We lease to 2-4 hunters at a time, each paying $100/day in advance for the use of the land. The minimum time is 2 days. For example, 2 hunters leasing one tract for 2 days would pay a total of $400 plus kill fees; 4 hunters leasing both tracts for 3 days would pay a total of $1,200 plus kill fees. There is also a kill fee for each animal killed. Most of the deer are whitetail, but there are also axis and an occasional sika. We lease the property out no more than 4 days per week, so the deer are not scared away. We will be happy to give you a tour any time. Each hunter may bring one non-hunting companion for no charge.

RESERVATIONS & DEPOSIT: Please see the link below to our availability calendar for dates. When you make a reservation, we require a deposit of half the total amount within a week. A full refund (except for $10/day per hunter)will be given if you cancel and we are able to find other hunters to replace you. Full payment is due before you start hunting.
